 Dosen tetap Pegawai Negeri Sipil pada perguruan tinggi yang diselenggarakan oleh Pemerintah.

Dosen Pegawai Negeri Sipil yang dipekerjakan di perguruan tinggi yang diselenggarakan oleh masyarakat atau Perguruan Tinggi Swasta (PNS DPK).

Dosen tetap Pegawai Negeri Sipil (PNS) dan dosen tetap dari perguruan tinggi negeri yang sudah berstatus kelembagaan Badan Hukum Milik Negara (BHMN).

Dosen tetap Perguruan Tinggi Swasta, dengan ketentuan sebagai berikut:

Dosen tetap yang diangkat oleh Ketua Yayasan atau Perguruan Tinggi Swasta di Lingkungan Kementrian Pendidikan dan Kebudayaan.

Sudah mempunyai Nomor Induk Kepegawaian (NIK) Yayasan.

Tidak berstatus sebagai pegawai negeri sipil (PNS).

Telah memiliki Jabatan Akademik Dosen minimal Asisten Ahli yang dibuktikan dengan usulan dan persetujuan yang legal dari Pimpinan Perguruan Tinggi asal peserta dan Koordinator Perguruan Tinggi Swasta (Kopertis) Wilayah di mana dosen yang bersangkutan berasal.

Dosen yang berstatus Pegawai Negeri Sipil (PNS) wajib memenuhi persyaratan tugas belajar yang ditetapkan pada Peraturan Menteri Pendidikan Nasional Nomor 48 Tahun 2009.

Surat Keputusan Tugas Belajar (sebagaimana tercantum pada peraturan tersebut) harus diperolehnya sebelum yang bersangkutan menyelesaikan studinya.

Segala konsekuensi yang diakibatkan oleh tidak diurusnya SK Tugas Belajar tersebut menjadi tanggung jawab dosen yang bersangkutan dan perguruan tinggi yang mengirimnya.

Dosen lg sekolah

 Dosen tugas belajar berhak menerima beasiswa dari pemerintah sedangkan ijin belajar dana berasal dari biaya sendiri atau donator di luar instansi (berlaku untuk dosen PNS dan PTS).

Dosen tugas belajar dibebas-tugaskan selama studi lanjut untuk itu bagi yang memiliki jabatan akademik dosen tak berhak tunjangan profesi dosen, sementara yang ijin belajar tak dibebas-tugaskan maka tetap peroleh tunjangan profesi dosen.( berlaku untuk dosen PNS dan PTS).

Bagi yang berstatus PNS, yang tugas belajar tidak mendapat tujangan jabatan dosen sedangkan yang ijin belajar tetap memperoleh.(berlaku untuk dosen PNS).

Dosen tugas belajar tak berhak mengusulkan kenaikan jabatan/pangkat selama tugas belajar, sementara yang izin belajar berhak mengusulkan( berlaku untuk dosen PNS dan PTS).

Publikasi selama studi lanjut bagi yang tugas belajar tidak bisa dihitung sebagai angka kredit karena statusnya bukan dosen, sementara yang ijin belajar bila studi lanjut atas nama mahasiswa Pasca juga tak bisa dihitung sebagai angka kredit terkecuali studi lanjut atas nama dosen PTN/PTS. (berlaku untuk dosen PNS dan PTS).
